Ecumenical Programs

A number of ecumenical events are offered throughout the year. During lent, a midday service is offered at a member church in the greater Lawrence community. These popular services also offer a fellowship luncheon. Similar services may be offered during the year to
commemorate events such as the National Day of Prayer or the Week of Christian Unity.

A Gathering in Prayer for the Greater Lawrence Community

Started in 1994, by the Council at the suggestion of a group of business men, this gathering in prayer has become an annual event. The service includes prayers and petitions for life in the community and is led by lay and clergy with a guest speaker. A continental breakfast is offered. This event is usually held in January.
